In recent weeks, I’ve been pondering the pros and cons of keeping an instagram for “social media” and the “hobby community “. But I find that most of the community, dwells on discords accessible through patreons and local gaming clubs.
At first, part of the charm of having an instagram that focused on the painting hobby was that I could share my works in progress and have other hobbyist take inspiration or comment on the miniatures. That charm is lost given the current environment.
From this point on, I’ll solely post on my website, alejominis.com. I’ll slowly transfer material and pictures over but the ultimate goal is to stop utilizing social media that acts in a parasitic manner.
I’ll keep the account open for a few weeks but ultimately it will cease to exist. Hope many of you understand and keep track of my progress. Stay safe everyone, see you on the many discords, and hope to hear from you !
